The basics
What is a custom domain for QR codes?
A dynamic QR code doesn't point straight at your destination — it points at a short link that redirects, which is what lets you edit the destination and track scans. A custom domain swaps the default host on that short link for one of your own, so the URL your audience sees is yours. It applies to dynamic QR codes and uses a subdomain (root domains aren't supported).

Everything you get with custom domains
Branded scan links
Every scan goes through your own subdomain — go.yourbrand.com/aB3x9 — so your audience sees your brand, not a shared domain.
Automatic SSL
We issue and auto-renew a TLS certificate for your subdomain. Every link is served over HTTPS with nothing to buy or configure.
One CNAME, no DNS migration
Point a single CNAME record at cname.qrkit.to. Your main domain, website, and email keep working exactly as before.
Primary domain + per-QR picker
Set a primary domain that's pre-selected when you create a dynamic QR, and switch domains per code when you need to.
Multiple domains by plan
Connect one domain on Pro, two on Ultra, and four on Agency — handy for managing several brands or clients.
Same analytics, your brand
Custom domains change the link your audience sees, not your reporting. Every scan still rolls up into your QRKIT analytics.
How to connect your domain
Five steps, mostly automatic once the CNAME is in.
- 1
Upgrade to Pro or higher
Custom domains are available on Pro, Ultra, and Agency. Pro includes one domain, Ultra two, and Agency four.
- 2
Add your subdomain
Open Settings → Domains and enter a subdomain like go.yourbrand.com. Root domains aren't supported — use a subdomain.
- 3
Add a CNAME record
At your DNS provider, add a CNAME for that subdomain pointing to cname.qrkit.to. On Cloudflare, set it to DNS only (gray cloud).
- 4
We validate and secure it
QRKIT detects the DNS record and issues an SSL certificate automatically, usually within a few minutes. The domain flips to Active.
- 5
Pick it when you create a QR
Choose your domain in the create-flow picker. Your primary domain is pre-selected and baked into the short link and the printed QR.
Why a branded domain matters
People are wary of scanning a QR code that resolves to an unfamiliar link. A recognizable domain on the scan URL signals the code is really yours, which builds trust at the moment of scan and keeps your branding consistent from the printed code all the way to the landing page. You keep the flexibility of dynamic QR codes and the full scan analytics — just on your own domain.
Who uses custom domains
Agencies & freelancers
Run client QR programs under a white-label subdomain so the scan URL carries your brand, not ours.
Retail & packaging
Put a recognizable domain on product packaging and in-store signage to build trust at the point of scan.
Events & campaigns
Brand the links on tickets, posters, and flyers, and track every scan in your QRKIT dashboard.
Multi-brand teams
Connect a domain per brand on Ultra or Agency and keep each line's scan links on the right domain.
Custom domains by plan
Included from Pro. Higher plans connect more domains.
