The catch

The 14-Day Trial and the Annual Contract

Uniqode's free plan is for static codes only. Dynamic codes — the ones you can edit after printing and track — come with a 14-day trial, and Uniqode's pricing FAQ is direct about the end of it: dynamic codes created during the trial become inactive, stop redirecting, and their tracking pauses. Its help docs add that people scanning an expired code see an error page, and that reactivating means upgrading before the trial runs out.

The second thing to know before you print is billing. Uniqode sells annual plans only — its FAQ says there are no monthly plans — with auto-renewal on by default and a 30-day money-back window. That is ordinary for enterprise software, but it means a small business pays for a year up front to keep its dynamic codes live, and codes on a cancelled account become inactive.

QRKit works differently on both points. The free plan keeps one dynamic code working with no trial clock (up to 100 scans a month across the account, after which it pauses until the monthly reset), and every paid plan can be billed monthly. If you downgrade, dynamic codes over your new plan's limit pause until you upgrade again, and static codes never stop working on either platform.
